Child Count & Eligibility
NYDBC is responsible for maintaining a child count of the number of children who are identified as deafblind (combined hearing and vision loss) between the ages of 0 – 21 in the state of New York. To assist in identifying children who are eligible for services from NYDBC and who should be considered ‘deafblind,’ please see the chart below, entitled “Eligibility Chart: Combinations of Hearing & Vision Loss.
